Location: The StarHouse is a magical and healing temple designed and built with the principles of Sacred Geometry at its core. Constructed in 1990, it is a 12-sided structure surrounded by 200 acres of open space, rolling hills and pine forest. Aligned with the geometry of the Flower of Life and integrated with the map of the 7 chakra system, The StarHouse resonates with this high vibrational energy, physically and spiritually. There are many sacred sites and treasures on the land including a walking labyrinth, standing stones, the Goddess Grove and more.
Directions: From 4th Street and Mapleton Avenue in Boulder, drive west on Mapleton Avenue (which turns into “Sunshine Canyon”) about 3.5 miles. Turn right at the sign that reads “3476.” You’ll drive up the driveway. Parking is clearly marked at the *top* of the hill. After parking, walk down the other side of the hill, towards the StarHouse, which you’ll soon see through the trees. Please wear shoes appropriate for a short walk through a forest (you’ll be taking them off once inside the StarHouse), and bring a flashlight to help.

Shanti Medina
Shanti has been gathering women together in sacred circles of celebration for over 15 years. Her Stirring the Shakti retreats and events inspire women to transform the mundane into magic, celebrate the simply sacred, empower true nature, and fuel the fire of purpose and passion. She founded her Body Current modality as a bridge between ancient wisdom and modern neuroscience.
Much of Shanti’s inherent wisdom in regulating the nervous system was imprinted as a young child living through her own trauma. Her own healing has inspired the root of her unique approach in coaching women’s wellness and wholeness as well as training elite athletes and top business owners.
She enjoys supporting elite athletes and everyday warriors to live a life of well-being, optimized performance and wild inspiration through simple practices of embodied self-realization. Shanti considers herself a “revealer” rather than a “healer”. She has enjoyed facilitating her Body Current protocols in a variety of 500HR Yoga Teacher Trainings and as faculty at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health as well as the Neurosculpting Institute. Mira Devi
Mira’s studies in yoga, meditation, chanting, and Ayurveda began over twenty years ago at Shoshoni Yoga Retreat, where she served as a resident yogi for ten years. Since that time, she has studied Ayurvedic therapies, herbal preparations, and marma therapy with Dr. Vasant Lad, and become a licensed massage therapist and a certified Ayurvedic Counselor. Mira has been weaving the wisdom of the Yogic and Ayurvedic traditions into her life and private bodywork practice for many years. She leads chanting events and offers workshops in Boulder and Denver.
As part of the Stirring the Shakti retreat, Mira will lead the group in a Marma Restore Ritual. After introducing marma points, Mira will guide the group, in pairs, to give and receive a balancing marma sequence. The sequence is simple yet profoundly healing, and is done fully clothed lying down on a blanket on the floor. After the exchange, everyone will be invited into a resting pose, during which Mira will share a deeply relaxing ancient practice: Marma Nidra, a meditation on 18 marma points. Through balancing the marma points one experiences a level of peace and well being that goes beyond the physical to restore the deep recesses of the soul.
Macy Harjot Matarazzo aka Rev Lunchlady
Macy Harjot Matarazzo aka Rev Lunchlady – Love Coach, Speaker, Spiritual Teacher – Helping the smart, single, spiritually conscious women who want REAL lasting love have the healing, tools and strategy to get there without sacrificing who they are. Corin Blanchard
Corin is an initiate of The StarHouse through the Path of the Ceremonial Arts (PCA ‘15) and part of the three-person administrative team for All Seasons Chalice (ASC). She holds an M.Ed. in Higher Education and brings 20 years of experience in educational nonprofits, as well as a deep passion for restoring the sacred in all of our relationships, a love for the power and play of ceremony, practical experience as an entrepreneur, and embodied wisdom and teachings as a Certified Rolfer™ in private practice for the past 8 years.
As a lover of beauty, a student of life, a devotee of gnosis, a muse of the Divine, a tender of temples of all kinds, and a mythic soul who believes in humanity, Corin is honored to be part of co-creating the SAP Certification – ensuring sacred places are tended well and that people remember their wild power in service to earth-realization. Candice Knight
Candice is a Sacred Arts Practitioner Enrollment Coordinator and facilitator. She is the Head Minister of The StarHouse where she has been in service for over 15 years. She holds a Master of Arts. After graduating The Path of Ceremonial Arts (a women’s and men’s training program at The StarHouse) she joined the facilitation team and taught for 13 years. After Candice spent the first 30 years of her career teaching children, parents, and other educators she was called to focus her attention on helping people create meaningful ceremony in their lives to mark the important transitions we all experience.
Ceremonies for Sacred Living was born from this desire. Her joy is to co-create with others, helping to make sacred life’s threshold moments. Candice is also a “water steward” and devoted to awakening the remembrance of our deep connection to the element of sacred water through ceremony and social, political action.
Dr. Amber Ortega
Dr. Amber Ortega is an Air Quality Meteorologist at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. An initiate of The StarHouse through the Path of the Ceremonial Arts (PCA ‘14), ordained in the Lineage of Sophia (2013), and Minister of the Universal Life Church (2018), Amber has served as Fire Keeper and apprenticed as Head Keeper at StarHouse. She was Lead Facilitator for Tucson’s International Women’s Day Sisterhood Circle (2016), as well as co-founded Tucson’s Full Moon Women’s Healing Circle and New Moon Ritual Circle. An Elemental Priestess and Earth Creatrix, Amber is a weaver of science and spirit, dedicated to co-creating for planetary healing. She holds a Ph.D. in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences and M.S. in Meteorology. Her research has taken her around the world, from working at the European Union Joint Research Center in Ispra, Italy (2010), to flying through pyro-convective clouds above the Boreal Forest in Northern Canada (2008), air sampling over Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary (2015), and severe storm chasing with multiple aircraft throughout Tornado Alley across the Great Plains (2013). http://amberortega.com/

In the unlikely event you need to cancel your retreat registration, you are invited to either secure another sister to which to transfer your registration or receive a refund minus a $50 fee through May 14th. After May 15th, there are no refunds issued.
