Kirtan Summit: 2 Days of Community Chant

Join us for two amazing evenings and a full afternoon of ecstatic and meditative chanting with 20 Colorado leaders of Kirtan, May 1st & 2nd! This is the 9th year that the Kirtan Summit has been held in the Boulder/Denver area, bringing together many diverse and inspired styles of chanting for an incredible experience for the entire community. Multiple leaders collaborate with one another throughout each evening, accompanied by master musicians, offering a chanting experience you won’t find anywhere else!
This year the Summit will span two nights, May 1st & 2nd, each running from 6pm – 11:30pm.
Admission is only $15 per night, or $25 for a 2-night pass! Doors open at 5:30pm each night and a detailed schedule is posted below.
PLUS, during Saturday afternoon we will feature two mantra-based workshops: a yoga class with live chanting accompaniment, and a Sacred Sanskrit for Kirtan and Mantra workshop. Immerse yourself fully into the vibration of mantra over this special weekend!
Leaders of the Summit include (full schedule is below): Bhakti Shakti kirtan band, Vamadeva, Scott & Shanti Medina, Robert Gass, Tom Fuhrmann, Kalika Fortin, Mira Gale, Susan St. Clair, Kate Spear, Janaki, Katie Wise, Prem Sangha Band, Rick Franz, Alandi Mandali, Tommy Duffy, Jaya and the Krishna Temple, Rabbi Sarah Gershuny, and a host of amazing supporting musicians like Steve Bross, Robert Rand, Jeremy Kurn, and many more. Workshops by Sreedevi Bringi and Rachel Zelaya with the Jai Gobind Band.
All events are held at the beautiful Adi Shakti Kundalini Yoga Center of Boulder, at 6717 Valmont in East Boulder. The Adi Shakti Center regularly hosts kirtans and other sacred events which will set the energetic stage for a magical weekend. Space is limited and events may sell out — advanced tickets are encouraged (see below).
Investment: Tickets for each event (evening kirtan or workshop) are only $15, with a 2-night pass available for just $25. The proceeds of the Summit will be donated to The Give Back Yoga Foundation, bringing yoga to underserved populations like first responders, veterans, prisoners and those struggling with disordered eating. 3pm – 5pm: SACRED SANSKRIT FOR KIRTAN AND MANTRA, led by Sreedevi K. Bringi, M.Sc., M.S., M.A. – What makes Sanskrit a conscious sacred language system for powerful spiritual transmission? Experience the precision, pronunciation and tones of Sacred Sanskrit sounds. Immerse yourself in a raga-singing improv with Sanskrit bhajan/kirtan lyrics and chanting deity mantras. $15
